Dr. Cheng is a therapeutic and glaucoma certified eye doctor licensed by the California Board of Optometry. She graduated from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. She then received her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of California, Berkeley with recognition by Beta Sigma Kappa Optometric Honor Society. While in optometry school, Dr.Cheng traveled to Chile on a VOSH trip to bring eye care to the underprivileged.
Dr. Aline Nguyen graduated magna cum laude honors from the prestigious Southern California College of Optometry. She is well versed in the medical model of optometry, including diagnosis and treatment of glaucoma, age-related macular degeneration, and co-management of diabetic eye disease. She is proficient in fitting specialty custom contact lenses such as ortho-k and scleral lenses. She received extensive training in custom fit contact lenses at the Cornea and Contact Lens Institute of Minnesota where she helped numerous kids achieve optimal myopia control results.
Dr. Melissa Lau Meng is a therapeutic and glaucoma certified eye doctor licensed by the National and California State Board of Optometry. She completed her undergraduate studies at University of California, San Diego with a Bachelor of Science degree in General Biology. After college, Dr. Lau attended Southern California College of Optometry, where she earned her Doctor of Optometry degree with cum laude honors. Her clinical rotations allowed her to serve the soldiers at a naval hospital in Okinawa, the Native American population at Hu Hu Kam Memoral Hospital, and veterans at VA Salt Lake City. Her clinical training shaped her to become a well-rounded eye care provider as she practiced primary eye care and treated ocular diseases such as diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, and macular degeneration. In addition, she has traveled to Fiji and Honduras to bring eye care services globally to those in need.
Dr. Christina Kim earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from the UC Berkeley School of Optometry with honors from Beta Sigma Kappa Society. Then she received extensive clinical training during her Primary Care and Ocular Disease residency at the VA Portland Health Care System in Portland, OR. Her training included emphasis in treatment and co-management of glaucoma, retinal vascular diseases, macular degeneration, and anterior segment pathology. Since completing her training, Dr. Kim has had experience working at private practice, Kaiser Permanente, and a refractive surgery center.
