"Not only did I have the most thorough eye test, ever. Dr Cheng was awesome- very friendly, explained everything clearly, and the whole experience was fun! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place to anyone looking for a professional, friendly and thorough service.
Staff in the office were very friendly and helpful too. They have glasses for sale on the premises too, which seem competitively priced- they just didn't have my preferred brand.
Thanks internet, I never would have found this place by chance, as it's inside a market that I've never visited!"

"I've been going to global optometry for the past few years for my eye check up exams, and Dr. Helen and staff have always been very welcoming and professional. Definitely recommend them for making sure your eye health is in check. They've also got glasses for sale out front.
Parking is easy as they share a parking lot with H mart and an 85 degree bakery (Bonus tip: get 85's egg tarts after your eye exam)"

"Great place to go to get your eyes checked. friendly staff I called in to see if I can move my appointment to earlier time and they put me in right away. Dr. Cheng is very pleasant and professional. She is very patient and take her time to listen to her patient. The front staff is very friendly and helpful."

"Loved Dr. Juang, the eye doctor. Not like that, creep. As a friend.
About 500 frames. Yes, I counted them. I was the only white guy on the block, so I was hoping they had frames that fit my freakishly round eyeballs.
Five months later, I can't look down without the glasses slipping... choose wisely.
And, as expected, buying frames and lenses was like the final part of buying a car. You want your lenses thinner? Lighter? Darker? More focused? Higher impact? Lower fat? Scratch protection? Scotchguarding? Flower, five dollars more. Fine, fine, fine! Take my money! I feel good knowing my lenses are gluten-free, thanks!"

"I've been going to Dr. Helen Cheng at her San Jose and Pleasanton offices for many years now but wanted to leave an updated review. The team at their San Jose office (Donna, Nancy, Dr. Juang) is always super friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful.
I could not be happier with my new Tom Ford glasses! My prescription is really, really bad but Global Eyecare managed to make me want to wear glasses again thanks to these glasses. I've had glasses made at a different office where the lenses was completely off (they'd make my eyesight warped and made me feel dizzy, but I've never had that problem here).
Dr. Cheng also has a great selection of brands and styles for glasses/sunglasses, and their turnaround time is very quick.
I would definitely recommend global eyecare if you're looking for a great optometrist team!"

"The regular optometrist I went to moved to Morgan Hill, so I was looking for a new one (ideally somewhere close in the South Bay). My sister suggested this one, so I made an appointment.
Dr Helen Cheng is wonderful (highly recommend)! She's pleasant to speak to, and explains all the different tools/procedures thoroughly."

"After a recent disappointing phone call, I still decided to go in as a patient for my annual eye exam. One staff member in particular was extremely pleasant and the optometrist was professional and thorough in her examination -- just as she had been during my first visit.
I appreciated the professionalism with which they dealt with the situation. I am grateful for their consideration and willingness to work with me in maintaining a high quality, comfortable, and welcoming patient experience where I can feel confident that my eye care is a priority.
It is reassuring to be able to have honest conversations with your care providers and I am so glad that I went back for my second year.

"Dr. Cheng is an awesome optometrist. Even if you haven't been a long time patient, she takes the time to remember you and makes you feel right at home every single visit. So awesome that it even feels like we've been friends in another time! haha. She is extremely knowledgeable, detailed, professional, and genuinely cares about what is best for my eyes.
Staff has extremely been accommodating to my change of mind in contacts. Even though some miscommunication occurred here and there, they make it a point to try their best to provide you with whatever you may need. The only downside to the office is the visit hours like if you need early morning appointments etc, they unfortunately can't accommodate in that department.
Warning: Parking in this plaza is a nightmare! If you have a flexible schedule, I recommend trying to go during off hours for your appointments or pick ups!"

"This is my second review for Global Eyecare. My whole family has been going to Global Eyecare for many years. We still love it! Dr. Cheng is still the best! This review is particularly for the office manager Jasmine. I needed a special eye drop for my dry eye. My insurance gave me a hard time because it's super expensive. Jasmine went above and beyond to deal with my insurance company multiple times to make sure they approved my prescription. I was so impressed with how she cares about the patients. My whole family will continue going to Dr. Cheng and I highly recommend this place for anyone who needs eye care."

"Lost my fav pair of glasses few weeks ago while out, since it was time for the yearly exam, I made an appointment and stopped by during lunch to get everything done.
I highly recommend this place if you are looking to get glasses or contacts. My optometrist, Helen was very professional and helpful. The place was neat and clean. Also had a variety selection of frames from cheap to high end. I ended up picking a pair of very cute Gucci. Very happy with the experience."

"Highly recommend the OK lens here. I start to use it two years ago and do the eye examination here every three months. Get rid of my glasses for two years, every amazing. Dr Zhuang here is very professional and knowledgeable. Enjoy all the trips here."

" Literally the best. They are quite humble, but both Doctors of Optometry here went to UC Berkeley. I didn't realize this until after I had gone. A quick search shows that Berkeley is the best optometry program in the USA, and probably the world. Your vision is your most critical sense... probably a good idea to take care of them for the long haul. "
